And those in the Hundred of Tungkillo ...
Chronicle (Adelaide, SA : 1895 - 1954)Saturday 25 December 1920 - Page 32
About 10,177 acres of the Rosebank estat, in the Hundred of Tungkillo, have been purchased from Messrs, G. T., R. T., and A. Melrose by the Government. The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Hon. G. R. Laffer) stated on Monday that as the Land Board, reported that the land could not be subdivided into areas which would enable the values of the respective blocks to come within the limit of £3,000 allowed Under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, the property had been bought under part x of the Crown Lands Act, 1913. When dealing with applications the Land Board would give preference to any discharged soldiers who might apply. Arrangements were being made to take possession of the estate on March 1st next, but in the meantime the land would be surveyed and gazetted.
