Joined Western Front Force 17 March 1916. First Field Squadron 30 July 1916.

Appointed Driver 6 August 1916.

Died of illness (malaria) 10 October 1918 Jericho, Palestine

The Hicks family had the Butcher Shop at Mount Pleasant for many years.

Pictured on the Mount Pleasant Soldiers Memorial Hall Honor Board and listed at the Anglican Church and Presbyterian Church.

Word has been received by the friends of Private Frank Hicks, of Mount Pleasant, that he is again in the firing line, after having had a spell of illness in the Malta Hospital.
