Enlisted 26th March 1917, Adelaide, SA. The Unit embarked from Sydney, NSW, on board HMAT Port Melbourne on 16 July 1917.

Served in France.

Wounded in action, gunshot wound to arm 10 April 1918. Transferred to England for treatment. Returned to unit 13 July 1918.

Killed in Action 22 August 1918 near Bray on the Somme River, France.

Place of burial West of Bray
