History Festival

The SA History Festival is hosted by the History Trust of SA and encourages like-minded museums, galleries and history groups to share their story, in their own way. The programme allows visitors to access what is available anywhere within the state of South Australia. We have been a part of this Festival for several years and below is a sample of what we have contributed.

2024 TREASURES

2024 ROAD, RAILS & RECOLLECTIONS

2024 BAROSSA HISTORY FAIR

2022 Barossa History Fair

Our only involvement in 2022 was as part of the Barossa History Fair. We had a stall as part of this event which attracted approx 500 people through the doors at Angaston Town Hall. The day was good weatherwise, which for May can always be a little difficult to predict, and the presence of the Victoriana Society and the Barossa Light Horse added atmosphere to the event. This event is growing each year and will now be held bi-annually so look for the next one in 2024...

2013 invited guests spoke about the railway, the mills of SA and our environment

2014 A display and video of the district was available for perusal

2015 was a display of uniforms and included 'Gallantry' a banner display from History Trust of SA

2016 included a display of 'The Cheer-up Hut'
